Fees, explained
The real cost of a trade is the spread plus any commission, plus funding and withdrawal fees, not just the headline number. We separately measure the real average from a funded account at live session times; a figure marked "testing in progress" is one we have not finished measuring ourselves.
Fees and charges (MEXC published policy)
- Deposit & withdrawal fees
- Crypto deposits are free. Fiat deposits run through third-party providers and typically cost 3-5%. Crypto withdrawal fees vary by network.
- Inactivity / dormant fee
- MEXC does not publish a dormant-account fee that we could verify; treat this as unconfirmed and tell readers to check current terms rather than stating a number.
- Trading cost
- MEXC shows spot fees of 0% maker and up to 0.05% taker (0.05% on BTC/USDT, or 0.04% with its 20% MX discount). Futures fees are shown as a range by contract: 0.000% to 0.040% maker and 0.000% to 0.100% taker. These are the rates on MEXC's fee page as of 2026-10-11, not measured by us.

Measuring Every figure on this page is one MEXC publishes itself, read on the date shown. Slippage Desk does not run its own funded-account tests, so nothing here is presented as our own measurement.
Regulation & safety
MEXC operates under 2 regulatory licences: Lightly regulated (offshore); no tier-one licence, Restricted in US / UK / Canada. Regulation is not a guarantee against loss - leverage and volatility do the damage - but it tells you who you can complain to and how client funds are meant to be handled. Always trade with the entity that actually onboards your country.
Opening an account
- Register with your email and verify it.
- Complete identity verification (KYC) - a government ID and proof of address.
- Fund the account using P2P, Card (3rd-party), USDT, Crypto transfer.
- Start on a demo. Size positions small. Keep a trading journal from day one.
The honest cons
- Lighter regulation and no tier-one licence - do your own due diligence
- Not available to US, UK or Canada residents
- Fiat on-ramps rely on third parties and can carry 3-5% fees
- Crypto is highly volatile - capital at real risk
What we like
- 0% spot maker fees and 0.05% taker, among the lowest anywhere
- Thousands of listed tokens, the widest altcoin selection of the majors
- No minimum to open and fast listings of new coins
